Giovanis Nikolaos

Nikolaos E. Giovanis is a Professor of the Department of Organization and Business Administration of the International Hellenic University (IHU) in the field of Business Administration with an emphasis on Labor Relations and Occupational Health and Safety.

He holds a degree in Economics from Aristoteleio University of Thessaloniki and holds a PhD in Economics, with a thesis on Occupational Health and Safety.

He was a family business entrepreneur. During his more than twenty-five years of professional activity, he was a member and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the company ” GIOVANIS S.A.” based in Serres. At the same time, he served as a member of the administration of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Serres (1st Vice-President) as well as a regular Scientific Associate, teaching for a number of years, in the Department of Business Administration of T.E.I. Serres. He was President of the Department of Organization and Business Administration and Director of the Master’s Program in Hospitality and Tourism Business Management and is a member of the Steering Committee of IHU.

He is the author of the books: “Business Management”, “SME Management” and “Total Quality Management”. He has official publications in recognized international journals, announcements at international conferences and chapters in collective volumes. His scientific interests and areas of research he focuses on are human resource management, labor relations and occupational Health and Safety.
